The Black Stallion by Walter Farley

The Black Stallion is about a boy, Alec, on a ship with a Stallion. The Boat sinks and the horse saves his life by going to a island with the boy. Alec got off the Island by boat. The Black is the horse Alec has always dreamed of: beautiful, savage, and splendid. Alec is determined to tame him. But the job turns out to be more difficult and dangerous than he ever imagined. And at the end Alec goes on a race with his horse. Alec and the horse develop a deep and special bond.

Redwall by Brian Jacques

Redwall is a story about a mouse named Matthias who is desperately trying to find Martin's sword to defend all the other Redwall mice. Cluny and his rats are successfully defeating Redwall. Cluny and his rats sneek into Redwall at night and put everybody in netting, Matthias arrives just in time with Martin's sword and kills Cluny and the Sparrows with him defeat his rats.
